  1. Latisse

SkinRenewKs is proud to offer the FDA approved Latisse for patients suffering from hypotrichosis. The LATISSE® treatment works to grow eyelashes and make them longer, thicker, and darker. LATISSE® works to make your eyelashes full and viberant to help you look your best.

LATISSE® works by penetrating the eyelash hair growth cycle to stimulate growth. The hair growth cycle is increased and more lashes are generated during the growth cycle. Patients have noticed results in as little as 2 months. Latisse is the only FDA approved prescription treatment for hypotrichosis.

LATISSE® is a simple treatment that will fit into your daily routine. SkinRenewKs recommends applying LATISSE® prior to going to bed. Before applying LATISSE® you should wash your face, remove all excess makeup and remove your contact lenses. The next step would be to apply the solution using one of the disposable applicators. You apply the solution going from the inside on the eye to the outside making sure to follow the eyelash line. Each applicator is good for one use and then should be disposed.

SkinRenewKs will evaluate your candidacy prior to prescribing you a prescription. LATISSE® is not for patients who have eye pressure problems or are taking medications for eye pressure problems. Patients who may be at risk for glaucoma should avoid using LATISSE®. Test show potential side effects may include itching, eye irritation, dryness or redness of the eyelids. If you develop symptoms after you begin treatment you should contact Dr. Kansal immediately.

User comments:

"After using LATISSE®, my eyelashes really stand out. I get compliments all the time and it feels great! Everyone wants to know my secret … People even ask if I am wearing false eyelashes.

I feel more confident knowing this product, unlike other lash growth products on the market, is FDA-approved, and comes from Allergan, a name I trust. I will absolutely tell all of my friends (and anyone who asks) about this new lash growth product."

"I've always had thin, short lashes. They were barely noticeable. Within the first month, my lashes started to grow and, within two months, they looked even better.

My favorite part is that the product is so easy to use."

What are the side effects?

The most common side effects after using LATISSE® solution are an itching sensation in the eyes and/or eye redness, which were reported in approximately 4% of patients. These may occur immediately after use, but should usually last only for a short period of time. Eye itching and eye redness are not allergic reactions, and do not mean that your eyes are being harmed.

LATISSE® solution may cause other less common side effects, which typically occur on the skin close to where LATISSE® is applied, or in the eyes. These include eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids. Skin darkening (or hyperpigmentation) is another less common side effect. This condition causes areas of skin to become darker than the surrounding skin color, but has been reported to be reversible after discontinuation of the product.

Could LATISSE® cause the color of my eyes to change?

Increased brown iris pigmentation has occurred when similar medications were instilled directly into the eye to treat elevated intraocular pressure/glaucoma. Although iris pigmentation was not reported in clinical studies with LATISSE®, patients should be advised about the potential for increased brown iris pigmentation which is likely to be permanent.

Is LATISSE® safe?

LATISSE® is an FDA-approved prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes. The FDA reviewed clinical study results to verify the identity, potency, purity and stability of the ingredients, and demonstrated that the product is safe and effective for its intended use if used as prescribed.
